Subject: Bug#830: kghostview doesn't handle %%Orientation right

Package: kghostview
Version: 0.7

For a Postscript file containing

   %%BoundingBox: 0 0 504 684
   %%Orientation: Landscape

kghostview comes up in portrait orientation.
As others have reported, trying to rotate the
picture to landscape orientation or seascape
orientation both result in a picture that is
upside down. Then when you go back to portrait,
the picture ends up rotated 180 deg from its
original position.

The gv code presents these kinds of files in
the right orientation, but with the wrong size
of window. The Aladdin ghostview on a unix
machine works correctly.

These problems make it difficult to use kghostview
as the Postscript application for a web browser.
As an example, try

 http://t2.lanl.gov/data/astro/s-ddn.ps.

I am using kde 1.1 on RedHat 5.2 as downloaded
on 25 February 1999.
