            Bug ID: 388404
Summary: Display same metadata for identical pictures in
                    different locations
           Product: digikam
           Version: 5.7.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Tags-Engine
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-null@kde.org
          Reporter: montex@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

In my workflow I happen to have identical copies of the same pictures in
different locations. For example, one local to my laptop, and another on a
central server that i mount with NFS.

When I edit tags in one of the two copies, the metadata become de-syncrhonized.
That is, the two copies of the same pictures, now have different metadata.

It would be nice to:

1) Have an option to automatically show the same metadata for identical
pictures (maybe with an option to enable or disable it)

or, alternatively

2) Have a maintenance tool able to automatically propagate metadata between
identical pictures/albums

Any other suggestions on how I could achieve this with current features?
