I upgraded to KDE Frameworks 5.41 in the hope there would be an improvement for
this 4k screen issue on Wayland, but there is not. It would be great if this
could be fixed for Plasma 5.12. Please allow the user to disable the automatic
scaling! The previous Plasma version (5.10) didn't enforce the scaling factor
of 2x. I'm happy to compile from git and to provide feedback.
