Glad you sent that screencast Farid, thank you. I noticed in yours that you
have the "Transparent background for images" box checked. Mine is unchecked by
default. When I check it, the image sequence imports as expected!

So, the bug is this, then:

BEHAVIOR
When The "Transparent background for images" is unchecked, and "Import image
sequence" is checked, image sequences import as stand-alone still clips.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Regardless of whether "Transparent background for images" is checked or
unchecked, when user checked the "Import image sequence" checkbox, images
import as sequence.

Farid, can you confirm by trying to import a series of images with "Transparent
background fro images" unchecked?
