            Bug ID: 380403
           Summary: License of common\libkipiplugins
           Product: kipiplugins
           Version: 5.8.0
          Platform: Debian unstable
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kde-imaging@kde.org
          Reporter: v.for.vandal@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello!

I'am working on QML bindings for libkipi
(https://github.com/v-for-vandal/kipi-plugins/tree/qtquick) and those bindings
reuse some files from common/libkipiplugins/tools. These files are under GPL
license but I would like my bindings to be under LGPL license (otherwise no
non-GPL application will be able to use them). Is there any way to change
license of those files ? May be I can separate those files into their own
library, say libkipiplugins-core ?
