            Bug ID: 371922
Summary: align audio for partial clips
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: 16.08.2
          Platform: Debian unstable
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: User Interface
          Assignee: jb@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: igloo@earth.li
  Target Milestone: ---

Suppose I have a pair of 5 minute clips in the timeline, which were recorded
within a few second of each other. Sometimes if I tell kdenlive to align them
by audio then it might put one at a 3 minute offset.

To work around this, I would like to be able to cut the clips so that I have
only a few second of each that I know overlap, and tell kdenlive to align them.
However, kdenlive still seemingly looks at the entire clip, and puts them at a
3 minute offset again.

Please add a way to align based on only the part of the clip that is being
used.
