            Bug ID: 369582
Summary: Overlay/Alpha/...-transition lead to crash while
                    previewing or cancel of rendering
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: 16.08.1
          Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
               URL: http://etc.pascalschneider.eu/2016/09/kdenlive.png
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Video Display & Export
          Assignee: jb@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: post@pascalschneider.eu

When applying transitions with alpha or overlay:

If i try to preview the transition, the program crashes.
When rendering, it stops to render when the effect in the timeline is
"arrived". First, I had to install LADSPA-plugins, it told me. Now it just
stops rendering.

When I start kdenlive via terminal, it tells me something about OpenGLES and
ThumbCreator (see URL).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add for example "overlay"-transition between two clips
2 a. start preview - crash OR
2 b. render - rendering stops (no crash).

Actual Results:
crash

Expected Results:
show the effect or render the video

I tried it with installing ladspa-sdk and swh-plugins packages.
