This should not happen... You do have have shared-mime-info installed, right?

What about the Open dialog(CTRL+O) ? In the "Filter:" picker, do you see the
raw mimetypes or the friendly names

Yeah, there is no reason why we shouldn't apply "just in case" the same fix to
the other strings, so I'm reoping this bug.
