Handle escape sequences in string literals: \" \' \n \r \0 etc.

Also:
- \xhh -> character
- \uxxxx -> 16-bit unicode character
- \u{xxxxxx} -> 24-bit unicode "code point"  character, known from JavaScript
(ECMAScript 6)
