Bug ID: 354657
Summary: Inconsistency when the dashboard is moved between
different sized monitors
Product: plasmashell
Version: 5.4.2
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: NOR
Component: Desktop Dashboard
Assignee: notmart@gmail.com
Reporter: rapiteanu.catalin@gmail.com
CC: bhush94@gmail.com
When the dashboard is moved from one screen to another (using the ALT key), it
is resizing but it's leaving an unaesthetic shadow (it's original size) on that
screen. This is shown until the ALT key is released.
This requires 2 monitors that have a different resolution !!!
This can be observed in the attached picture.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the dashboard on 1 monitor. (The smaller one to be preffered)
2. Using the ALT key select the dashboard and drag it on the second monitor.
DON'T RELEASE THE ALT KEY!
Actual Results:
The dashboard resizes to the resolution of the new monitor. Only 1 dashboard
should be visible.
Expected Results:
The dashboard resizes to the resolution of the new monitor, but the original
dashboard (smaller resolution) can be seen behind the fullscreen dashboard. It
looks like 2 dashboards are on the same screen.
Releasing the ALT key will make the second smaller dashboard disappear.
