Hi Ralf,

a few questions:

1. What is your OS, distro , versions, CPU arch, etc.?

2. Did you try it in a new UNIX user account?

3. Like #2 but with a different window manager or desktop env, such as JWM,
IceWM or Xfce.

4. Did you try building gwenview from git and running it?

For the record , gwenview from git runs fine here on Xfce on Mageia Linux
x86-64 v6/Cauldron, without the symptoms you described.
