The KDE parts is likely something crashing on exit. While they are still
running, logind still thinks you are logged on because you are logged on till
your last process exits.
coredumpctl should show the list of crashed items. maybe you can get backtraces
that way.
(coredumpctl info the_pid_of_kuiserver_from_that_list)
