I've been having the same issue for months now with a Radeon card.  Seems like
this issue has been happening with Intel and NVidia also...  If there is any
more information I can provide to help resolve this, please let me know.  It's
getting old the have  to continue to hit ALT F2 multiple times to get a command
prompt so I can enter:  killall plasmashell ; plasmashell - This never occured
with KDE4, only started with I upgraded to F22 which has Plasma5.
