Oh dear god this is a mess. I don't tag files, I don't search files, I don't
need the services Baloo is providing me therefore and most importantly I don't
want to see it running. Updatedb, locate and grep is all I need! So naturally I
did disable Baloo as soon as the option was available. The problem is that I
just noticed that dolphin, other than the size of the file itself, is not
showing me any file related options any more.
So here is my question: is this a sideffect of disabling Baloo?
Ohh and by the way I still see the Baloo fileextractor running in iotop
sometimes.
If my assumptions are correct than this is totally not fixed. I still have a
not completely disabled Baloo while my desktop environment is now missing the
most simplistic features.
I hate to be that guy, I love kde, but Nepomuk / Baloo in my eyes is a
cancerous spreading disease and for some reason no one can stop it.
