Hello JB, 
your comment about the config file got me thinking so I diff'ed
~/.config/kdenliverc (hope that's the right one) file before changing the UI
and after and something did change but I don't know what exactly at least it
did in the MainWindow and ProjectTree Sections but the visible UI stays the
same.
