I just learned how to patch something ^^
This patch seems to do the trick for me too. No more hangs but playback is
still a litte choppy and occasionally stops to continue one ore two seconds
later, but this could be my laptop I'm testing on right now.

I don't know if I can make it to your sprint this year but give me a heads-up
and I see if I can make it.
In any case I'll send a few bucks your way. Even if I can't make it personally
I'll make sure you and the others won't be thirsty!
