I apologize, I'm not sure.  I started by reporting a crash.  After a few times
I started monitoring my system and saw an unconstrained memory leak in
plasma-desktop and then went further to find multiple ways to push the leak. 
Do note: I have two separate systems, different hardware with the same issue. 
Please advise as to a proper course of action.
