https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338704 Bug ID: 338704 Summary: Hovering a selected file (located on NTFS) duplicates information displayed in the Information panel (F11) Product: dolphin Version: 4.13.3 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: panels: information Assignee: dolphin-bugs-null@kde.org Reporter: woualere.agneau@laposte.net I noticed recently (since a few months at most, I'd say) that sometimes all information in the Information panel (F11) is duplicated (once or twice or three times...). I noticed this with JPG files located on an NTFS partition (but could later face it with TXT files as well). Selecting one file, hovering another file, then hovering the previously selected file; wait for a few seconds and then all details of the picture get duplicated (Height, Width, etc.) once or several times - I couldn't get the logic of the apparently-random duplication factor. After a few tests it seems this bug does not apply to files located on an ext4 partition. NOTE: the delay before information of the hovered file displays in the Information panel is extremely slow (several seconds). Far slower than for files located on an ext4 partition (more or less instantly). Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a file located on an NTFS partition, then hover to another unselected file; 2. Hover back to the selected file (quickly?) and wait for a few seconds. Actual Results: Often, detailed information of the selected+hovered file displayed in the Information panel gets duplicated (I could see up to 6 times "Number of lines" displayed for a text file). Expected Results: Detailed information of the selected+hovered file displayed in the Information panel should not be duplicated. NOTE: the delay before information of the hovered file displays in the Information panel should be must faster, even for a file located on an NTFS partition (mounted internally as SATA in my PC; actually the same physical disk where my KUbuntu installation resides). Ask me for more if needed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
