Hi,

I think what you are after is regular expressions. It is not really feasible at
the moment to have language specific searches.

With regular expressions you can search for $a but not $apple:  Enable regular
expressions and enter "\$a\b" into the search box it searches only for $a not
$apple (\b == word boundary)

Regular expressions are generic and really powerful
