That's not so great. My KDE SC is updated to 4.13.1 right now. What do you mean
in normal mode? If I, for example, go to normal mode, press ":" to type
command, then no garbage characters appear in command line on layout switch. In
gVim CapsLock doesn't produce any garbage characters as well and nothing is
binded to it in .vimrc.
