            Bug ID: 334165
Summary: No password dialog when system is resumed
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: frameworks-kcmutils
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdelibs-bugs@kde.org
          Reporter: vamegh@gmail.com

Hi,

Kubuntu 14.04 amd64 version, Dell XPS 13 Developer edition

I am not sure if this should go under KCM or KScreensaver.

When I close the lid of my laptop and the laptop goes to sleep it wakes up fine
but the login screen prompt is not displayed I just get the wallpaper.

I think I have found the cause.

System Settings -> Screen Locker If this is set to start automatically and
require password is unchecked then on resume no login prompt is shown, if
require password is checked I think the login prompt is shown and if completely
disabled it is shown.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. System Settings -> Screen Locker
2. Check Start automatically
3. Uncheck require password
4. Screen Locker Type: Simple Locker
5. Put System to Sleep
6. Wait 5 minutes then resume
Actual Results:
The System resumes but no login prompt is provided

Expected Results:
The software should have displayed a login prompt to allow me to log back into
the kde session

This is a vanilla install of Kubuntu 14.04 AMD64 edition, on a Dell xps 13
developer edition, everything otherwise has been working good.
