            Bug ID: 332873
Summary: When roaming to a new AP the channel number in the
                    details display does not update
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: plasma-nm
           Version: 0.9.3.3
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: applet
          Assignee: jgrulich@redhat.com
          Reporter: mike.cloaked@gmail.com
                CC: lukas@kde.org

In the situation that there are two APs with the same ssid and authentication
credentials in different but nearby locations, and using the bgscan line in
wpa_supplicant, the laptop will successfully roam from a weaker to a stronger
wifi signal with NetworkManager running. The command iw dev xxxx scan |less
shows that the system has associated with the stronger signal by confirming
that the mac address has updated as well as the channel number for the newly
associated AP. However the plasma-nm panel display showing the details remains
on the original channel number for the first AP that the system associated
with.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to a strong wifi signal in one location, and ensure that bgscan is
working
2. Verify the AP details using "iw dev xxxxx scan | less" for the current AP
including channel number. Check that this matches that shown in the details
section in plasma-nm for the current connection.
3. Physically move the laptop away from the current AP to a new location with
another strong signal with the same ssid and credentials.
4) Verify that the laptop has roamed to the new AP by running "iw dev xxxx scan
| less". Verify that the channel number for the newly associated AP is correct.
Now check the same information in the plasma-nm details display for the current
connection and it shows the previous channel number instead of the new one.
Actual Results:
Channel number in the plasma-nm details display fails to update when the system
roams to a new AP with the same ssid

Expected Results:
Chennel number should update to the newly associated AP, and correspond with
the information shown by running the command "iw dev xxx scan | less"

Tested with two different laptops running KDE in arch linux. The plasma-nm has
a single connection defined for the ssid and passphrase using wpa2 aes. There
are two Access Points both transmitting the same ssid with the same wpa2/aes
authentication. Both laptops display the same problem with plasma-nm
