I'm not sure how to say this, but after not working since I installed openSUSE
13.1 over 4 days ago, OpenGL compositing in KDE seems to be working now. Or at
least it has not caused any slow down or lock up since last night around when I
uploaded the qdbus command output - it has also survived 2 cold reboots I did
as a test this morning.

Blur is running, and tearing prevention is set to 'auto', and performance is as
good as it was under KDE 4.9.5, which with my GeForce GTX 560Ti was very
good...

No mention of triple buffering in Xorg.0.log.

I'll keep monitoring the performance, and if it slows again I'll look at usleep
and other options, and report back to here.

Thanks guys, although I have no idea what actually fixed it - maybe it fixed
itself somehow...

Best regards,
