https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324331 Bug ID: 324331 Summary: spell checking does not pick up all installed myspell/hunspell variants Classification: Unclassified Product: kdelibs Version: 4.10.5 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kspell Assignee: kdelibs-bugs@kde.org Reporter: kdebugs@equaeghe.nospammail.net CC: zack@kde.org Many languages have different writing variants (e.g., US English, GB English, GB-oed English,...). Hunspell (myspell) often provides dictionaries for all these variants. For example, I would like to use the fr-reforme1990.(dic|aff) over the fr_FR.(dic|aff). However, it seems KDE only shows a certain type of dictionary, i.e., those that correspond to locales (en_US, en_GB, fr_FR are shown, but not en_GB-oed and fr-reforme1990, fr-classique, fr-moderne). Work-around until fixed appreciated. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install French or English hunspell/myspell dictionairies 2. look at variants in System Settings, Kate, Kile,... Actual Results: the non-locale mappable variants are not there Expected Results: all variants should be selectable -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
