This is because of

ctx = glXCreateContextAttribsARB(display(), fbconfig, 0, direct,
attribs_legacy);

in glxbackend.cpp - could be that intel/mesa falsely announces
glXCreateContextAttribsARB - or the attributes ("0") may be wrong/insufficient?

@Everone else: try commenting those lines (glxbackend.cpp:~190) and see whether
that fixes it for you (Christoph: i assume "yes", Hrvoje: i have no idea ;-)
