Steps to repro: 
Open Kate, 
type something, 
Click the "Save As..." button, 
File Picker pops up, 
Click the yellow star icon, 
Click "Éditeur de Signet"

To begin with, I think such application should be "Éditeur de Signets"
(plural).

Signet is usually, generally associated with web browsers and also with
advanced text editors.
