https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317652 Bug ID: 317652 Summary: knetworkmanager forgets static dns settings (dhcp) Classification: Unclassified Product: Network Management Version: unspecified Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Wired Assignee: lamarque@kde.org Reporter: mkuske@gmx.net Version knetworkmanager: 0.8.2-15.28.1 Version OpenSuse: 11.4. Version KDE: 4.8.5 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1) Enter into knetworkmanager-settings (translated from German); edit wired connection (eth0) 2) IP4-Tab: Change Method from "DHCP" -> "DHCP addresses only" (translated from German) 3) Enter 3 different DNS-servers, which should be used 4) Confirm and safe all actions afterwords; leave knetworkmanager-settings 5) Reenter into settings; all changes (2 + 3) can be seen. Fine. 6) No change in /etc/resolv.conf (if this should be important) 7) Reboot 8) Changes (2 + 3) have vanished. Actual Results: Adjusted static DNS settings have not been safed and have vanished in the settings-dialog. Expected Results: Safe the adjusted settings accordingly. Static DNS unfortunately cannot be set in the router itself. Therefore I need this (nice) feature from knetworkmanager. Hope this is no bug that is already resolved in current version of knetworkmanager. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
