And for another year.
The same applies to current debian/testing (KDE 4.8.4).

You can manually start kbuildsycoca4 from a command line, resolve everything it
complains about manually - until it complains no more. However, this does NOT
fix the endless looping of "Updating system configuration".

If you start "strace -f systemsettings", you'll se lots of lines like
"recvfrom(7, 0x256f8c4, 4096, 0, 0, 0)   = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily
unavailable"
while "Updating system configuration" runs permanently.
