The original backtrace (where plasma-desktop crashed on a Bus error signal) is
likely a KSharedDataCache bug assuming there were no other programs writing to
the /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/*.kcache files. I thought I had improved crash
safety for SIGBUS by KDE 4.9.2 but apparently that's not the case here.

if your distribution has debugging symbols available for kdelibs that would
greatly help with debugging. What I really need is something like Valgrind but
only for mmap'ed memory accesses... I wonder if there's a debugging tool like
that.
