Actually it is still not possible to add an equalizer. The situation today even
is worse than before. On
http://www.webupd8.org/2010/02/pulseaudio-system-wide-equalizer-now.html you
can read:
  "PulseAudio Equalizer is no longer maintained."

So I think it is better to keep the equalizer directly in the playback
applications. => Feature is not planned for KMix. Sorry and thanks for your
patience. => Closing bug.
