            Bug ID: 307645
          Severity: wishlist
           Version: 4.9
          Priority: NOR
                CC: tokoe@kde.org
          Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: automatically determine the coordinates of an address
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: m.wege@web.de
          Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: general
           Product: kaddressbook

Kaddressbook has a field where one can add a coordinate of where the contact is
located. This is something one normally does not know and has to lock up. So I
guess no many people really use that feature. I would be much more helpful, if
Kaddressbook would help to find the coordinates through the address. I am not
sure if there is a webservice for that, but I assume that at least the
coordinates of the city could be retrieved somewhere so determining the
coordinates would be easier. If it would be easier to add coordinates to an
address this would also allow other usages like viewing all contacts in a
certain area or country on a map.

Reproducible: Always
