It appears KTorrent uses Konquerer for its integrated web browser for searching
for torrents. Is there a way to turn of images, Flash, etc., for that
integrated browser? I'm sick of all the adult ads that keep loading.

I've turned off images in Konquerer, but the settings do not reflect in
KTorrent.
