Is there now a fix for this problem?

I have the same problem with my 5.1 setup and i can't understand why this is
not an important issue.
Everytime i have to change the volumes for each channel.

I recognized, if i change the master volume at alsamixer in the terminal...the
volume for the other channels will stay at the right position.
Is there no possibility to set the master volume from alsa with a desktop mixer
like kmix, veromix, pavucontrol, ... ? The master volume in the mixer has to
adjusted only one controller from alsa...or do i see something wrong?
