No, just one rating wouldn't quite cut it, as I'd like to do stuff like
"Relaxing: 4 stars", "Poetic: 5 stars", "Work appropriate: 3 stars". 

I agree that UI-wise it is a bit hard. I found it to be of great value that I
don't have to click through to a special dialog to rate things.

Possibly, you could have an interaction where you hover across stars, one click
gives it an overall rating, two clicks open a dialog to set the rest of the
ratings if you'd like to.
