Thanks for the reply :) I thought you'd need more info but I had no idea where
to find any.

I do have a GTalk account. I can't say I've seen the same issue there but I
can't me sure. I'll try to test later.

I don't have Empathy installed. I could try to see if it has the same problems,
but I try to keep my system as clean as possible (it would mean another 19
dependencies).

I've just installed telepathy-logger, will see how that works out. Does it need
anything other than installation to work?

My version of telepathy-butterfly is 0.5.15-r1 (Gentoo stable) which is the
latest release.

My internet connection is pretty stable, I've never had issues with Kopete not
showing messages, my IRC connection rarely drops.

I'll report back when I have more information.
