This is indeed a must-have feature for any photo management software in my
opinion. I would really like to use digiKam for my day to day photo management
needs, but this is a show stopper. It can't be that hard to implement? If it's
possible to sort images by rating (meta data) then it should also possible to
add a meta data category for custom order? The only difficulty would be
implementing an easy to use drag & drop interface. But considering how advanced
digiKam already is in other aspects, that shouldn't stop such an important
feature from being added to an otherwise great program.
