What you're seeing is a side effect of inlining I think - line 52 of string3.h
is inside an inline definition of memcpy on my machine.

So what you're seeing in your first example is a memcpy call that has been
inlined into snd_pcm_area_copy, so the report is correct - you are in
snd_pcm_area_copy and the code in question did come from that line in the
header file.
