Summary: Remember Position: maximized windows aren't restored
at 0,0
Product: kwin
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kwin-bugs-null@kde.org
ReportedBy: edlin280@gmail.com
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Set a Dolphin window to remember its position in the Special Window Settings.
Move it away from the left upper corner, maximize it and close the window.
Reopen the same Dolphin window.
Actual Results:
A window the size of the maximized window will open at the Y coordinated of the
previously unmaximized window and therefore will be partially off screen.
Expected Results:
The fullscreen window gets restored with its left upper corner aligned with the
left upper screen corner (at 0,0).
Tested on Kubuntu 11.04 and Fedora 15 beta. On Kubuntu this would sometimes
result in the whole plasma desktop crashing.
Not all applications appear to be affected, Dolphin and Konqueror triggered it
but Konsole didn't.
