@Pascal: According to comment #24 it seems that indirect rendering (that's what
you get with that setting) is not as efficient as the default direct rendering.
Anyway, I use it at home and I haven't notice any perceivable effect.

If you're going to try it, I think the file contents should really be:

#!/bin/bash
export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1

I think the file doesn't have to be executable but giving it that permission
won't hurt.
