OK, that's what I suspected.

Yep - I see this:

  Cascade directory located as : /usr/share/opencv/haarcascades

but still I get zero photos with the People/Unknown tag, even if I
slide the top slide bar all the way to the right towards Accurate and
the bottom one all the way to the left towards Sensitive.  What can I
check next?  In case it helps, here is the STDOUT/STDERR log:

Well there is no issue reported here:

  http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/libface/report

but based on the above, maybe it's already fixed.
