I did some investigation under my svn working directory and found
these relevant lines:

build/CMakeCache.txt:OpenCV_DIR:PATH=/usr/share/opencv
extra/libkface/libface/LibFace.h:    LibFace(Mode type = ALL, const
std::string& configDir = ".", const std::string& cascadeDir =
