I agree with you. That's the way it used to work in 4.4.

It seems there are 2 groups of users with different opinions about what should
happen when an extra screen is removed. As the group who prefer the current
scenario (post 4.5) won't either read or post opinions in this bug report, I
think we should discuss this issue in a more visible place (reviewboard? kde
forum? mailing list?).
