From kde-bugs-dist Fri Apr 30 21:32:22 2010 From: Murray Colpman Date: Fri, 30 Apr 2010 21:32:22 +0000 To: kde-bugs-dist Subject: [Bug 235857] New: KPackageKit reported crashed but still appears to Message-Id: X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kde-bugs-dist&m=127266317431762 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235857 Summary: KPackageKit reported crashed but still appears to be running Product: kpackagekit Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: smparrish@gmail.com ReportedBy: muzerakascooby@gmail.com CC: dantti85-kde@yahoo.com.br Application: kpackagekitsmarticon (0.5.4) KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2) Qt Version: 4.6.2 Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-21-generic i686 Distribution: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS -- Information about the crash: I was just fiddling with my KDE settings, at one point after selecting British English as a language it asked me to install language files. I agreed to this, and left it going - but then later on when in a completely different and non-packagekit-related part of the settings (Input Actions to be precise), I got the crashed notice - what's odd is that it is still downloading language files as I speak. Perhaps it's the update demon that crashed? -- Backtrace: Application: KPackageKit (kpackagekitsmarticon), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #6 QMutex::lock (this=0x27) at thread/qmutex.cpp:150 #7 0x00675634 in QCoreApplication::postEvent (receiver=0x839ca30, event=0x841fe48, priority=0) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1113 #8 0x006759ac in QCoreApplication::postEvent (receiver=0x839ca30, event=0x841fe48) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1066 #9 0x006858a4 in QObject::deleteLater (this=0x839ca30) at kernel/qobject.cpp:2158 #10 0x001a3384 in PackageKit::ClientPrivate::serviceOwnerChanged(QString const&, QString const&, QString const&) () from /usr/lib/libpackagekit-qt.so.12 #11 0x001a5453 in PackageKit::ClientPrivate::qt_metacall(QMetaObject::Call, int, void**) () from /usr/lib/libpackagekit-qt.so.12 #12 0x0067ac9a in QMetaObject::metacall (object=0x842c8b8, cl=138005040, idx=6, argv=0xbfbade70) at kernel/qmetaobject.cpp:237 #13 0x006893d5 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x842e9f0, m=0x248c88, local_signal_index=2, argv=0xbfbade70) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3293 #14 0x00230d9f in QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged (this=0x842e9f0, _t1=..., _t2=..., _t3=...) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qdbusconnectioninterface.cpp:210 #15 0x002310c3 in QDBusConnectionInterface::qt_metacall (this=0x842e9f0, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=2, _a=0xbfbae040) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qdbusconnectioninterface.cpp:137 #16 0x0067ac9a in QMetaObject::metacall (object=0x842e9f0, cl=138005040, idx=7, argv=0xbfbae040) at kernel/qmetaobject.cpp:237 #17 0x006893d5 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x842e9f0, m=0x248c88, local_signal_index=6, argv=0xbfbae040) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3293 #18 0x00230c4f in QDBusConnectionInterface::NameOwnerChanged (this=0x842e9f0, _t1=..., _t2=..., _t3=...) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qdbusconnectioninterface.cpp:238 #19 0x00231153 in QDBusConnectionInterface::qt_metacall (this=0x842e9f0, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=6, _a=0xbfbae24c) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qdbusconnectioninterface.cpp:141 #20 0x001f1b34 in QDBusConnectionPrivate::deliverCall (this=0x842ca90, object=0x842e9f0, msg=..., metaTypes=..., slotIdx=11) at qdbusintegrator.cpp:904 #21 0x001fcea7 in QDBusCallDeliveryEvent::placeMetaCall (this=0x83f0b78, object=0x842e9f0) at qdbusintegrator_p.h:101 #22 0x006863fe in QObject::event (this=0x842e9f0, e=0x83f0b78) at kernel/qobject.cpp:1248 #23 0x074fd4dc in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper (this=0x8327990, receiver=0x842e9f0, e=0x83f0b78) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:4300 #24 0x0750405e in QApplication::notify (this=0xbfbaeb18, receiver=0x842e9f0, e=0x83f0b78) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:3704 #25 0x00e1af2a in KApplication::notify (this=0xbfbaeb18, receiver=0x842e9f0, event=0x83f0b78) at ../../kdeui/kernel/kapplication.cpp:302 #26 0x00675a3b in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal (this=0xbfbaeb18, receiver=0x842e9f0, event=0x83f0b78) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:704 #27 0x00678473 in QCoreApplication::sendEvent (receiver=0x0, event_type=0, data=0x830b420) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qcoreapplication.h:215 #28 QCoreApplicationPrivate::sendPostedEvents (receiver=0x0, event_type=0, data=0x830b420) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1345 #29 0x006785dd in QCoreApplication::sendPostedEvents (receiver=0x0, event_type=0) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1238 #30 0x006a1adf in QCoreApplication::sendPostedEvents (s=0x832ad90) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qcoreapplication.h:220 #31 postEventSourceDispatch (s=0x832ad90) at kernel/qeventdispatcher_glib.cpp:276 #32 0x036f45e5 in g_main_context_dispatch () from /lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #33 0x036f82d8 in ??
