Summary: Bad button placement in palette editor
           Product: kcoloredit
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: percy.camilo.ta@gmail.com
        ReportedBy: karl@huftis.org

Version: 2.09.90 (KColorEdit 2.1 RC) (using 4.4.1 (KDE 4.4.1),
Mandriva Linux release 2010.0 (Official) for i586)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.12-desktop-3mnb

I have just tried KColorEdit again, and the UI has certainly had many
improvements since the last time I used it. However, one thing felt wrong – the
button placements in the palette editor.

The ‘move up' and ‘move to the top' buttons are placed at the top, while the
corresponding ‘down' buttons are at the bottom. While this is in a sense
‘logical', it makes them more slow to use, and breaks with the UI concept in
other parts of KDE, where the up/down, backwards/forwards &c. buttons are
always next to each other. Having at the opposite side of the dialogue makes
them too far away, especially if you have a large window.

I realise this is only a subjective opinion, but this was the way I experienced
it. I moved a colour up, but when I then wanted to move it down, I immediately
didn't find the down button.

Also the placement of the middle buttons do feel a bit strange. My suggestion
for button placement:

Move to the top
Move up
Move down
Move to the bottom
(perhaps a small space)
Insert colour
Insert comment
Remove item
