Another reason why preview of pasted text might be interesting:

This "Tynt" malware is (apparently...) able to change text you copied from a
web page into something else while pasting it. For now, it is rather innocuous
(only appends attribution), but it's only a matter of time before malicious web
masters use it to append \nrm -rf $HOME\n to the selected text, making
copy-pasting commands from forums a really dangerous undertaking.
