Summary: The network manager tray icon connects too late on
                    wifi connections
           Product: knetworkmanager
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: wstephenson@kde.org
        ReportedBy: jeanpaul145@gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The network manager tray icon connects too late if a wifi connection is all
that's available on startup.
This makes some plasmoids (like google translator, available from GHNS) a pain
to use because they fail to start up if there's no internet connection, which
means that I have to remove and add them again on every bootup.

I also noticed that I can't make my wireless connection a system connection (it
looks like the "system connection" button is permanently disabled), and I think
that enabling this feature for all connection types (wired and wireless alike)
would help a lot, if not solve this useability problem.
