first, Kephal needs to properly tell us about the size changes. honestly, from
there to figure what is or isn't working would require sitting down with your
machine and looking at the debug output that is produced.

what i do know is that if x.org and Kephal are both working properly, the panel
also resizes properly. there was a bug that would re-resize the panel upon
log-in in such situations that prevented that, which was tracked down and
fixed. *shrug*
