Summary: konqeror needs a helper for reporting page errors
Product: konqueror
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: andrew.dorrell@gmail.com
Version: (using KDE 4.2.90)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
The new bug reporting tool in KDE is great. It has simplified to task or
submitting useable bug reports in the event of crashes. However for konqeror
many bug reports will be related to specific pages that do not work quite
right.
It would be really helpful if konqeror included a way (e.g. dialog in the tools
menu) for quickly and easily reporting "broken pages". I know firefox provides
this (under the help menu). Konqeror already provides a "report a bug" option
here but it simply drops you into bugs.kde.org. It should be a lot simpler.
Including this would have a dual advantage of:
1. identifying page content that khtml handles poorly
2. identifying how many users are effected by specific content related issues
thus allowing developers to better target their development effort.
