Summary: Ability to show/hide plasma dashboard with a keystroke
           Product: plasma
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: plasma-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: samuele.a@gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It would be nice if plasma's dashboard behaved like Mac OS X dashboard, which
you can show or hide just pressing a key.

I find it bothering to have always plenty of plasmoids using my screen estate.
I would like to see the dashboard only by pressing a key or a keystroke, like
in Mac OS X.

Another reason is that all those plasmoids may be distracting sometimes. I
think that it would be more useful to invoke the plasma dashboard by pressing a
key, using it to do some task like using the calculator or converting a
currency to another, and then hide it again.
