Nicholas, it was basically intuition. I saw the crash, googled for it, found
this bug. When I saw that Valgrind did interesting stuff with dyld, I thought
it might be related because we do interesting stuff with dyld too. I disabled
it and tried Valgrind again, and suddenly it worked. I wish I could have a more
comprehensive investigational process for you, but it was pretty much just a
wild guess that happened to be right.
